Dogs can be really tough and problematic to take care of sometimes because they can cause quite a mess inside the home. They can sometimes urinate anywhere inside house or they can play with their food which can cause some cleaning problems inside your home.

Getting some dog food spilled on your carpet fibers can be a really frustrating experience. You would need to clean up the spill as well as the ugly stain that is will surely cause on the carpet fibers which can ruin its appearance. If you don’t know what to do to get this done, here are some simple steps that you can follow.

1. Get the spilled dog food out of the carpet by using a spoon or a blunt knife to scoop it up slowly. Put it in a secure container so that you won’t have any worries in getting it on other parts of the carpet.
2. Use a clean white cloth to blot the area where the spill occurred to remove some of the sauce which could still remain. That way all that you would have left to deal with is the nasty stain on your carpet.
3. Get a teaspoon of white vinegar and combine it with a cup of warm water in order to make a very effective solution that will surely work in removing the dog food stain on your carpet. Apply this solution onto the affected parts of the carpet and then let it set for a couple of minutes.
4. Get a piece of clean white cloth or some paper towels and then blot the affected area. Make sure to blot from the outer portion of the stain moving inward to avoid spreading the stain to other areas. Continue blotting the dog food stain until you are able to remove it completely.
5. Flush out any cleaning solution residue that could remain on the carpet by dousing the area you just cleaned with some cool water. Then, dry it up with a wet/dry vac to complete the job.
