And now, another chapter of Vintage Vacuums with Norm:
For the discerning Elgin Carpet Cleaning. Believe it or not, there are those out there who lovingly restore vintage vacuums to their former glory. Oftentimes they are refurbished to even better than new! A popular one to restore is the venerable Kirby Classic III. These were manufactured between 1976 and 1979. We all know that Kirby manufactured excellent products. These were expensive vacuums to begin with, so people usually held on to them. According to the Wall Street Journal, the device “costs more than four times what other top-of-the-line vacuum cleaners do.” The Kirby Classic III included many components and attachments such as the shoulder wrap, handi waxer, handi butler, shag king, sani em-tor, and crystalator.
The Kirby Classic III vacuum is also a beautiful design, in a way that only a vacuum could be. The unfinished aluminum housing and associated pieces can be polished like a shiny new penny. There is a thriving aftermarket of used and reproduction parts available for your restoration.
Elgin Carpet Cleaning. As always remember, Dry soil removal by vacuuming on a regular basis will maintain your home’s carpet in top shape and help it to last longer.
